If your baby has a very high fever it is best to contact your medical practitioner or Clinic.

36 - 40 weeks PDF Print E-mail
From about 36 weeks you may have a sudden urge to clean out all your cupboards. This means that your "nesting instinct" has now set in.
You will also want to shop for groceries for the next three months and fill your freezer.
Pre- preparing some dishes to freeze beforehand is a good idea, to compensate for those "bad evenings" once your baby is born

At 40 weeks your baby is likely to arrive at any time.Your labour may start with any one of the following signs:-

  • A show, but true labour may still take a day or two.
  • Your waters break. Please go into hospital straight away to be checked by the midwife or your doctor
  • Painful rythmic contractions. Wait until these contractions last longer than 35 seconds, and are approximately 3 minutes apart.

Always endeavour to have a positive mind and look forward to the birth of your baby.
